We will to the United Conservation of the National Forests of Tapajós in Maguari, and are welcomed with open arms by the beautiful and authentic riverside community.

What the voluntourists say

It was a jump in the infinite green of the world. I could never imagine that I would land on sacred ground like the Alter do Chão and Tapajós National Forest, even less that I would meet people who would stay in my life forever and that my experience with the inhabitants of the region would impel me to take one of the most important steps of the my life.

I always wanted to know Chapada dos Veadeiros and I must admit that it could not have been with different people. The expedition was prepared with great care and, through community-based tourism, strengthened small businesses in the region by creating a very deep experience with the community. I’m sure I will participate in other experiences!

I heard sounds for the first time, I had visions that until then were only recorded by images and became real there. A fantastic feeling, an indescribable nature, a strong people. I felt even more Brazilian when I got to know our country in its Amazonian essence, in its diversity and community. Vivalá Amazônia, Rio Negro and Acajatuba! You will never leave my mind and my heart.

Being between the dunes and lagoons of Lençóis Maranhenses was like visiting another planet, in a landscape unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Even more special was the experience of volunteering with local people, understanding their challenges and helping them to improve their quality of life. Being part of that was inspiring and unforgettable.
